  1. If anyone sees the actual text of the executive order that he just signed, put up a link or the text if you could. I would like to examine that.

    Thanking you in advance.

  4. Should try to end birthright citizenship through constitutional amendment.I think most Americans would support it,especially now.

The Executive Order obviously violates the Constitution. It will be challenged in court.

They should move forward with a Constitutional Amendment to eliminate birthright citizenship. We are one of the few nations which has this. I would support a Constitutional Amendment to end birthright citizenship.

The birthright citizenship is not the only executive order from Trump that is blatantly unconstitutional. A good number of them will be shot down in court.

I don't think an amendment is necessary. I think the key section is "...subject to the jurisdiction thereof".
How can illegal immigrant pledge full allegiance to the US if they are citizens of another country?

The U.S. allows dual citizenship. I know many people who are dual-citizens.

Any point regarding "jurisdiction thereof" in context of holding citizenship in another country relating to a child being born in the U.S. being a U.S. citizen (under the current Constitution) will simply not hold up. Noting that the child born in the U.S. does not pledge allegiance to the U.S. -- they are granted citizenship simply by being born on U.S. soil.
