Racking up the nobel prizes ...

Obama should give his to Trump
Former President Barack Obama was taken aback when he found out he was being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, asking "For what?"

the company has a major agreement to sell at least 100 million doses of its vaccine to the federal government, and Pfizer acknowledged in a Monday statement to CNN that it is in fact "participating" in Operation Warp Speed through this deal.

Read the purchase order given to Pfizer
It agrees to pay ,in each dose, all the costs of development for this vaccine.
To a Pharma company this is unheard of, usually it take them years to recoup development costs.
Pfizer, to get money at time of delivery, had to produce a vaccine effective at 50%
    This is Operation Warp Speed
This is why Pfizer deferred other medicines to focus on Covid

Biden would have been stuck waiting for the NIH to do something

Vaccines being developed all over the world, including in Canada. Trump's been a huge negative with respect to Covid; he deserves no credit for any vaccine work. The rumblings are that the US doesn't have a clear plan how to roll them out, and a significant number of Americans are claiming they won't take the vaccine. So could be interesting times seeing how it develops and if Biden enforces a national mandated vaccine program how some of the Covid deniers react.

Thank you future Nobel Laureate Biden for cutting that future check & ridding the world of this plague. You are like Moses against a Pharaoh, a drink for the thirsty in the desert.

Guessing at what Biden would have done is stupid given how bad Trump has been the entire year with respect to Covid. Trump is literally doing NOTHING since the election on this as the second wave comes cruising into tons of states.

Pfizer clearly stated they got no real help from Trump it was a private project.

The federal government’s deal with Pfizer would pay for the purchase of the company’s vaccine if it gets FDA emergency use authorization or approval. So Pfizer hasn’t gotten any Warp Speed funding yet.

    Vaccine deals

    Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine

The U.S. government committed $1.95 billion for large-scale manufacturing and delivery of 100 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech. Pfizer’s vaccine would need to get emergency-use authorization or approval from the FDA.

The agreement also allows the United States to acquire up to 500 million additional doses.

The U.S. government did not fund the companies’ research and development.

Pfizer chose to risk its own money on vaccine research and not take federal funding in order to avoid bureaucracy and politics, Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla said. He said its investment so far was at least $1.5 billion.

"I wanted to liberate our scientists from any bureaucracy," Bourla told CBS in September. "When you get money from someone that always comes with strings. They want to see how you are going to progress, what type of moves you are going to do. They want reports. I didn't want to have any of that.

"Basically I gave them an open checkbook so that they can worry only about scientific challenges, not anything else," he said. "And also, I wanted to keep Pfizer out of politics, by the way."
