"Both parties had access to these tools. For instance, in 2020, requests from both the Trump White House and the Biden campaign were received and honored," he said, adding that "celebrities and unknowns alike could be removed or reviewed at the behest of a political party."

Musk responded to the screenshot of the request, writing: "If this isn't a violation of the Constitution's First Amendment, what is?"

In another tweet, he added: "Twitter acting by itself to suppress free speech is not a 1st amendment violation, but acting under orders from the government to suppress free speech, with no judicial review, is."

The Biden campaign was a private entity — not the government — at the time of the request. Trump's White House, however, was the government, but Musk did not address reporting that said they also made and were granted requests.

I haven't bothered to follow this nothingburger and assumed Biden's WH had "pretty pleased" a request which would get in borderline territory of the 1st (gov in speech)(Twitter could of course say fuck off). If this was only the Biden campaign, it makes it an absolute non-issue.

You mean like the Trump campaign was in 2016?
Sounds like the Biden campaign "attempted to overthrow democracy" too.

exGOPer makes a post that is liked by GWB-Trading and Cuddles. That tells me everything I need to know.

Why bother even reading the nonsense?

Elon is paving the way for Ron DeSantis.
Trump misspeaks sometimes, because he doesn't expect to follow through.

Ya, getting those dick pics removed really damaged democracy.

    Never know.
I don't think they should be throwing their weight around to hide the truth about anything though. Regardless of what it is. You don't agree that's bs?
The whole "town hall" premise is to allow democracy to work.
If dick-pics don't matter, then that'll be reflected in the vote. No?

Are you complaining about Trump getting tweets deleted or Biden getting his son's dick pics deleted? I could tell to whom your whine is directed, but just want to hear from your mouth.

Those who wanted to see dick pics and vote, it's their prerogative to seek out other avenues to find them, Twitter is not their personal hosting service for perversion.
