Ditto... but I wonder how we'd view him if he wasn't working with a recalcitrant congress and Lefty activist judges... seemingly opposing everything he tries to do. (Maybe we wouldn't like the rest of the government "playing along with Trump" like they did Obama, of course. But we'll never know. Still prefer Trump and all his faults to Obama and Hellary!)
Every President has to work with Congress, the media and judges. But you can't threaten a comedy show because it makes fun of you. That's the stuff of tyrants.
Which president(s) have had to deal with anywhere near the opposition Trump has? Maybe Odumbo would have acted like a little child sometimes had he been so vehemently opposed... ??
Are you saying that because he has to deal with more opposition than his predecessors, he has a right to threaten any criticism with federal investigation?
I wish Trump would lighten up. Hell, he should lampoon himself from time to time. It would do his soul some good. Material for Trump’s self lampooning would not be hard to find. Although Trump is doing a good job as President, and actually has shown some unexpected growth since he first took office, he is not perfect and should not expect to be treated as such. Still, his handling of the constantly negative press is legendary.
When you're the President of the United States, there's no difference. You can't say things like that and go "just letting off steam".
Does not matter what opposition in media or Congress (by the way he had Congress for 2 years all to the GOP so what is the problem), a President who wastes time to get on Twitter to attack those who criticize him needs a lesson on the First Amendment and the late 1700s in the U.S. If it bothers him so much just ignore it, but his ego will not let him. And suggesting federal investigators should get involved is not letting off steam, it is threatening a tv show whose job is to make fun of people.
