According the Associated Press, the judge in the case, William Orrick also ordered the administration to give California the $28 million it had previously withheld. The AP also noted that Judge Orrick in his ruling on Friday agreed with California’s argument that being compelled to cooperate with U.S. immigration officials made it harder for local law enforcement to serve their communities was a compelling reason to strike down the law.

U.S. District Court Judge Michael Simon issued an order on Tuesday to stop the State Department from enforcing a policy that officials unveiled in late October under a mandate from President Donald Trump, and which could drastically curtail the ability of people to legally migrate to the United States. Simon noted that the requirement that immigrants buy unsubsidized insurance — meaning they couldn't get financial assistance through Obamacare — barred poor people from entering the country, which he said clearly infringed on the law. "The proclamation is anticipated to affect approximately 60 percent of all immigrant visa applicants," the judge wrote. "The president offers no national security or foreign relations justification for this sweeping change in immigration law."
They should take that Judge Orrick and throw his ass in jail. I know that this is old. But, this is not how this country is suppose to work. This is a great example of why it was so important for Trump to have been elected. He has nominated so many judges. There are too many liberal activist judges trying to pass law from the bench. That is not why the judges are there.
