I dunno man. There's literally nothing wrong with asking for some form of ID to vote. All Americans are given a social security card at birth. You can get another for free from the SSA. IDs are free/cheap (mostly free iirc) from the DMV - no test needed if you're not driving.

Any American citizen should be able to produce these documents. Place the ball in the citizen's court:

    1. If you do not wish to vote by paper show up at a poll booth like normal.
    2. All Americans registered with the SSA will get a voter ID card gratis from the government. Use this card to gain access to a paper ballot.

Preventing the illegal vote is the single most important thing we must do to protect democracy. Even if we ignore the actual illegals "Russian collusion" becomes a very real possibility on a large scale if we allow states to deploy paper voting. How easy is it to stuff a ballot box if you're operating on a nation state scale? If we are to operate under the assumption voting is a fair system, we cannot allow non-citizens and dual citizens to vote. Only naturalized and native born single citizenship residents should be able to vote because they are the ones who have the most at stake in any election. All other people can use a second citizenship (or the one they are coming from illegally) to retreat in the event of a poor election. The rest of us don't have this pleasure.

The idea asking for voter ID in exchange for the right to paper vote isn't far fetched and it certainly isnt disenfranchisement. We have to go to voting booths, in theory, because this problem is just that hard.

The democrats have lost sight of the past. The paper ballot was used to give Bush the win in Florida. The only possible conclusion here is they are planning to do the same. November will come and if this happens we will see every side of the aisle calling for recounts over and over again. The worst part? This can continue ad infinitum until someone gives up or gets what they want. You saw the desperation the dems have trying to get orange man impeached. Scale that up by a factor of 100 on both sides of the aisle if an unfavorable paper result emerges.

The comments in that tweet are a minefield. A lot of people don't understand elections in America. Particularly that "voter suppression" is only applied to the "poor and downtrodden" minorities and not the people who's votes are actually suppressed - reformed criminals.

Donald's own fraud election committee was disbanded for not finding anything even when hiring complete partisan lackeys to run it. Voter fraud as postulate by the GOP is a unicorn
