  1. “(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump denies that there was a tariff “exception” for certain electronics announced Friday, saying in a post on Truth Social that these products are still subject to existing tariffs of 20% and that the administration is looking into tariffs on the whole supply chain for electronics.”

    • These products are subject to the existing 20% Fentanyl Tariffs, and they are just moving to a different Tariff ‘bucket,’” Trump says

    • Upcoming national security tariff investigations will look at semiconductors and the “whole electronics supply chain,” Trump adds

    • Trump says nobody is “off the hook” for unfair trade, “especially not China”

President Donald Trump and his top trade officials on Sunday added to the confusion over his administration's tariff plans, including newly announced exemptions for reciprocal tariffs on electronic products such as phones, computers and semiconductors.

Trump and his aides suggested the exemptions — which erased added tariffs of 145% on many Chinese electronics devices and components — would be partially or completely reversed in coming weeks. A separate 20% tariff on all Chinese goods is still in effect.”

I don't like difficult level HARD.
I like Easy and easy money.

    I like volatility.
So when President Trump changes/amends/appends .... his policy,
he creates tons of trading opportunities (indirectly)
which are great for the day traders.

The investors and CEOs hate such a chaotic policies.

Day traders don't like President Biden because he was a predictable person
    ie less trading opportunities.

When not sucking down the koolaid, all three reasons that Trump gives for Tariffs contradict each other.

#1 With tariffs we can bring manufacturing back and have good high wage jobs!

#2 We’ll make so much money with tariffs, we can get rid of the IRS!

#3 Tariffs are a negotiation tactic, we want free markets and no tariffs!

If 1 then 2 is false since stuff will be ‘made in America’

If 3 then 2 is false, no tariffs no revenue

If 2 then 1 and 3 are false since stuff can be bought cheaper elsewhere

The self-inflicted chaos and uncertainty doesn’t create confidence for anyone to invest in manufacturing in the U.S.

The only thing it’s intended to do is create crony capitalism as one has to cough up 10k benji’s to Trump for a waiver.
