What trade imbalance ? The easiest way to correct the tiny imbalance with Canada is stop buying Canadian heavy Oil at below market prices. Simply buy the Oil at higher prices from other countries. You then would have a huge trade surplus with Canada. Of course, your consumer gas prices would spike but all in the name of patrionism right ?
