As federal prosecutors in Manhattan gathered evidence late last year about President Trump’s role in silencing women with hush payments during the 2016 campaign, Mr. Trump called Matthew G. Whitaker, his newly installed attorney general, with a question. He asked whether Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York and a Trump ally, could be put in charge of the widening investigation, according to several American officials with direct knowledge of the call. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/19/us/politics/trump-investigations.html
Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano said today if the latest New York Times report on President Donald Trump‘s call with former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker is true, it’s evidence of “corrupt intent” and “clearly an attempt to obstruct justice” from the president. To recap: the Times reported that Trump spoke to Whitaker a few months ago about whether US Attorney Geoffrey Berman could oversee the SDNY Michael Cohen investigation despite his recusal. The report notes Whitaker “knew he could not put Mr. Berman in charge” and Trump ultimately “soured” on him in the end. Napolitano noted to Shepard Smith that Whitaker could be in some trouble if this report his true, given his recent congressional testimony. But, he continued, it’s really bad news for Trump: SMITH: This phone call––if the Times reporting is accurate… the phone call would be evidence of what? NAPOLITANO: Corrupt intent. That is an effort to use the levers of power of the government for a corrupt purpose, to deflect an investigation into himself or his allies. When Smith brought up the question of obstruction, Napolitano it would only be actual obstruction if it succeeded, “but if you try to interfere with a criminal prosecution that may knock at your own door by putting your ally in there, that is clearly an attempt to obstruct justice.” He also expressed some amazement at the part of the report concerning Trump “using his allies in the Congress to interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation.” “This breaks new ground,” he said. https://www.mediaite.com/tv/fox-new...ld-clearly-be-an-attempt-to-obstruct-justice/
The... walls... are... really... closing... in... now... No, really. It is the beginning of the end for Trump. This is the bomb’s bombshell. We finally have him and will give him his wall. Times four. We will finally be a country governed by the Government, of the Government, and for the Government.
By the way, there is more than probable cause to launch an investigation in Mueller and the Russia Collusion Investigation. There is more than probable cause of a politician or group of politicians using their office to illegally create a false investigation against a political rival. Actually, I wonder if Trump shouldn’t of declared a national emergency based on the illegal conduct of the FBI leadership and cleaned house instead of declaring the border wall emergency. However, that would have been a conflict of interest on Trumps part, so it is good Trump has not Fired them all yet. However, there needs to be a mechanism remove politically motivated investigators. especially when it has been so blatent. The Steele document was not credible and not a valid reason to initiate an investigation. FBI FISA warrents were defective. There is apparent evidence of witness tampering by the FBI. There were long standing conflicts of interest involving FBI leadership. Some FBI agents were clearly biased. The makeup of the rank and file FBI investigators is apparently all Democratic. Now let’s talk about intent and motive again. The many leaks out of the FBI coincided with political events that had the appearence of extracting the most possible poitical damage to Trump. This shows political intent, conflicts of interest, and motive. Additionally, it is likely there are some inconvenient facts involving the Democratic Party and Russia, especially during the Obama Administration. The ploy where you blame others for what you do comes to mind. Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush lost a contentious election and primary, respectively, against Trump. The Bush family and Hillary wanted revenge against Trump for ruining their shot at reestablishing a closely held and establishment Presidency. Before Obama, A Bush or Clinton was President for 5 consecutive terms. Bush Sr and Bill Clinton were Friends and held fundraisers together. This shows more motive and possibly conspiracy. Bush appointed Mueller to the FBI. Obama kept him. Mueller or his boss apparently recommended or chose many, if not all the FBI agents to conduct the investigation. Some of the agents chosen had known and blatent anti-Trump opinions. Others FBI agents are possibly exclusively Democrats. This shows means. Although I am not a lawyer and do not intend to give legal advise, it seems to me the politically motivated Mueller investigation has been successfully poked into more times than Stormy Daniels has.
There’s 16 investigations into Trump, his campaign, his charity, and his associates. I’m shocked, Shocked Trump would be involved in any form of obstruction of justice. Not.
