The Trump administration released a major new climate science report on Friday, warning of “hundreds of billions of dollars” in annual losses to some economic sectors without scaled up actions to adapt to current changes and slash emissions to avoid future warming, Axios reports. Washington Post: “The report’s authors, who represent numerous federal agencies, say they are more certain than ever that climate change poses a severe threat to Americans’ health and pocketbooks, as well as to the country’s infrastructure and natural resources. And while it avoids policy recommendations, the report’s sense of urgency and alarm stand in stark contrast to the lack of any apparent plan from President Trump to tackle the problems which, according to the government he runs, are increasingly dire.” “The congressionally mandated document — the first of its kind issued during the Trump administration — details how climate-fueled disasters and other types of worrying changes are becoming more commonplace around the country and how much worse they could become in the absence of efforts to combat global warming.”
Al Gore blasted the White House, saying it was trying to “bury” a long-awaited government report on climate change by releasing it on the day after Thanksgiving, CBS News reports. Said Gore: “Unbelievably deadly and tragic wildfires rage in the west, hurricanes batter our coasts — and the Trump administration chooses the Friday after Thanksgiving to try and bury this critical U.S. assessment of the climate crisis. The President may try to hide the truth, but his own scientists and experts have made it as stark and clear as possible.”
"Even more dramatic was CNN’s headline, screaming that “climate change will shrink [US] economy” by 10 percent, a figure also repeated on The New York Times front page. Actually, the UN’s climate scenarios envision US GDP per capita will more than triple by the end of this century, so this 10 percent reduction would come from an economy 300 percent larger than it is today. A slightly smaller bonanza, in other words." https://nypost.com/2018/11/28/the-media-got-it-all-wrong-on-the-new-us-climate-report/ So sad our growth rate will only be 270% instead of 300%.
If "climate change" was not merely a fraudulent political agenda and there actually some actual risk to mankind from climate change then I would support taking action to avoid the issues. However the biggest risk to mankind is actually global cooling, not global warming. The upcoming decades of global cooling has nothing to do with AGW or "climate change".
Yea, it's a bonanza that GDP will increase as it usually does while the side activity of cleaning up the mess and dead bodies costs few hundred billions "Deaths from temperature extremes could take an economic toll of $141 billion per year in the same year, while coastal property damage could total $118 billion yearly, researchers found." MAGA right?
I assume you have a citation for this nonsense. Please post your citation so we can mock the stupidity of it and how you took it out of proper context.
