We have been down that road of sending help to mexico on their southern border so many times that I could puke. I hope and presume, that Trump is just sending the dhs types there to help document and verify how complicit the Mexican government is so that he can use that to support his actions against the Mexican government and have more verifiable information to decide whether to impose and/or increase tariffs as we go along. Other areas that make me puke, are all the lefty networks going back to the policies of decades ago about how we need to be building all these counties, ie any country in the world south of El Paso, and providing more aid so that the migrants will not be coming. Ahh, no we dont. All of that has failed. Sending aid to build those countries has always just been a gift to the corrupt leaders there, making things worse. Oh, and not to forget, that all these lefties who want us to build or rebuild all these shit-hole countries will also be the first to criticize the U.S for meddling in these countries if we do anything. We should not be meddling, just sending money and letting things evolve organically and in a kumbayal manner. Yeh sure, send a few billion to Maduro and you will see his army loyalists living high on the hog.
