    That was last quarter. I already gave the market its money back.

    trends are where all the money is made
    but most of the time the market just chops

    Learn to trade both,

    Trade Trend with a tight SL, cause if wrong it'll get to a further out SL, so keep it small.

    Trade Chop with a loose SL, cause if entry is wrong odds are it'll still get there given time and room.

    Easy!

    that is like trying to be a stable family man by day and a crazy playboy by night. Oh no, that can never work out well. Choose your style. If you need action on a regular basis trade the chop. If you are tired of the day to day crap trade the trend. But don't try to do both, because one of those women will catch up with you.

    I actually manage that pretty well so far :) Catch up with me, well yes 1 day if I don't get hit by a bus first, but worth it :)

    Chop is merely trend that hasn't got a direction.

    or it could just be a very short trend

    I like a profitable SL on long [bull]trends, or short[ bear] trends;
    chop + slop are not near as profitable for me.

    I am speaking of bear markets, like OCT;
    not messing with a live mama bear + her cubbs-much meaner than a bus.

    The trend in oil continues. Consolidation of price for weeks was not a bottom and 40 seems
    inevitable.

    Trends were never gone. The market is always trending on some time frame.
