market condition is your friend. and the most common market condition is a range since everybody is quite happy with that. once a range is recognised it easy to enter at extremes and exit at the other extreme. there are two important things to be aware of. one this is an obvious trade or a crowded trade or 'easy money' and so is a high probability trade. But what many traders forget with high probability trades is that with easy money, the reward is small so you must get out fast. also make one trade at most because once the range is recognized, it is near the end of that market condition; just like by the time the trend is recognized, it is near the end, or close to the end. range trading is easy money and whenever the market gives easy money it must be understood that the trade is ONLY a scalp because, undoubtably, the market is setting up a trap, for the unwary and overconfident. and this is usually in the form of breakout. i make a lot of trades and i usually get a very high win rate so it is something that is very lucrative to practice. also the stop is near and very definite...... so all in all i love this trade. if the bar is 'big' then i sometimes enter near the extremes and since market repeatedly tests the high and low, i have plenty of time and opportunity to get out with 1-3 point scalp. money for jam. it is well worth noting that usually the market gives you profit once and you should NOT be tempted to squeeze the trade for more: it gives you profit once, since it has to do that, to trap the late comers. also the nature of market is to test both sides, before choosing one side.... so without having to be right about the direction of final breakout, you make your easy money. most traders love fast easy money and so the market will tempt you with exactly this and most novices and beginners do not realize that ,while easy money in markets is a reality , big easy money is a mirage and is usually a trap for the greedy lazy and unknowledgeable. Greed in markets is fine and tolerated by markets but the cocktail of greed laziness and a lack of market knowledge is treated with disdain by the markets and you can be sure that your account will be punished mercilessly.
