It's not that bad. They just want to create a central exchange for certain derivatives and capital requirements. This just brings the shadow banking system into the rules that the rest of us have to deal with daily. I prefer this to the game being rigged by shadowy trades among a few multinational banks. Just the same as my futures account has a margin requirement and a central exchange, these derivatives should also be subject to the same.
