Transferring Bookmarks from Google to Firefox on the same laptop

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by DallasCowboysFan, Jun 21, 2019.

  1. I am currently using Google Chrome and Duck Duck Go.
I downloaded Firefox and added DDG as an extension.

I have about 28 shortcuts on my Bookmarks Bar.

I tried to find something that would allow me to transfer my bookmarks but I can't find anything. I thought it would be easy because I was using the same laptop.

    But, no such luck.

Am I missing something, or do I have to open each Bookmark and then pin it?
28 Bookmarks is a bit much to search and bookmark if I don't have to.

Brave browser does all that for you, and blocks all adware.

Use Opera, avoid the headaches of Chrome and FF.

What are the benefits of Opera vs Chrome?

Opera uses chromium, the open source rendering engine that Chrome uses and has a built in VPN on android and windows versions. The VPN has to be turned on as it is not the default setting.

    Brave Browser is the best.

It was easy but I really can't remember exactly how it was done and its automatically (everytime the device is turned on) via "turning on" something to sync the bookmarks across all the devices on my network.

Thus, its updated on my other laptops, ipad, android, iphone including Youtube on the TV for any Youtube video links. It also does the history too.

I use Firefox and Chrome. Every once in awhile it will ask if I want to continue sync or turn off. My guess is that it does that when the software updates itself and it notices I had the sync turned on.

Small improvements here and there. I cannot recall the details but I moved from Chrome as it was so inflexible a few years ago. Thus far Opera has been seamless in usage.

Does Opera have a feature to copy a column from a table? I mainly use Chrome, but occasionally have to use Firefox just for this one feature. I have tried 4 different Chrome extensions that claim to be able to copy columns but none of them work with my tables.
