I posted the following question to the Options section, but got no answers. I am re-posting it here with the hope that someone has an answer... I'm not too good at coding, so some ready-to-use solution would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Hello, I recently read a study which shows that trailing stop can be beneficial for options trading strategies. I validated with the flys I'm trading and it indeed boosts the performance. There is a problem however: my broker (IBKR) doesn't allow to set trailing stop orders on complex/combo positions. Do you guys know any software which can be used to easily implement this money management technique with IBKR? Are there any broker which supports this? ps: I'd prefer not to code my own due to limited experience with Python. Thanks!
Thanks for reposting your question. I'm sure that now you bring it under our attention again in this more popular section of the website you will have an answer soon!
Thank you for your constructive comment. I sense a bit of sarcasm here. I re-posted this here based on the fact that Options part gets views and replies than this part of the forum. You can check it in the Views column of the respective forums: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/forums/options.12/ https://www.elitetrader.com/et/forums/order-execution.30/ At the time of the writing, majority of the posts in order-execution have views over 2000, while in options majority is in the hundreds.
That's because the options section is much more active and registers far more activity that the OE section. Look at the origin date of the threads on both those front pages, and you'll know why the OE threads seem to have more views. It's simply by the fact that most have them have been there for years.
