    Hello Traders,

I am quite new to trading, been trading in a simulator for over 6 months, and want to test the waters soon.

It is incredibly frustrating to find a UK trading platform where we have access to US stocks that includes level 2, and the normal technical indicates (MAs, MACDs, etc).

I've been reviewing TradeZero but there have been a lot of bad reviews recently. I want access to US stocks, intraday charts (1min), (5min) candles are also ideal.

Do you know of any trading platforms (and with it brokers), that provide this in the uK or any platforms I can jump on in the US, without needing to accommodate the PDT rule? It seems most of them want a minimum deposit of $25K, so having a cash account is definitely something of priority.

Grateful if any of you could give me some advice.

    Thanks,
    Armo

Www.interactivebrokers.com $2000 minimum which is a us regulation. PDT rule is enforced as it is a regulated brokerage. Otherwise IG or cmc.

thanks for that! Was actually just checking out IB now - is the pdt still relevant if I am trading from the UK?

Yes, if you were in an EU country than the PDT rule does not apply through IB. IB U.K. are an introducing broker to IB LLC US so the PDT rule applies. A mystery!

Ah! Is there anyway around the PDT rule with a sophisticated platform from the UK? For example, a standalone broker in the UK that can be connected to an order management tool like das trader? Grateful for any guidance. Thanks!

Oh snap! One of the benefits of being a member of the EU? Oh well.

In July 2016 Brittany voted to leave the EU. And so this is one of their new-found freedoms? PDT for trading in the US? Like a VAT! Some things never change!

It was PDT for all Europe before as they were all part of IB U.K. The U.K. is now a democracy voting for a sovereign parliament. EU countries get to vote for their parish council and the European Parliament that has no power. The EU is a dictatorship of technocrats. Check the vaccine program in the EU to see how that is going for them.

www.ig.com and www.cmcmarkets.com have no PDT.

I asked Charles Schwab they said they will open accounts for UK residents. I believe their top platform has realtime Level 2

I don't get it, why is L2 so important for you? You won't be able to extract any useful information from L2 in my opinion. It's all market markets, algos & lots of hidden orders and you rarely see real orders sitting there.
