Any traders who quit job and started trading full time from home/office? How was the transition and did it affect your performance as there is a psychological pressure of monthly payments, if the the trading profit is the only source. I moved from forex to micro futures and did well for the last 60 days. I am planning to invest more and move to mini and if that goes well, plan is to go full time next year (back up is wife's job). I have been trading on and off since a decade and finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel with futures. I trade exclusively MYM. Hope I get some good suggestions, tips and advice here. screenshot-www.myfxbook.com-2019.08.01-12_21_38.png

you've done well Bluejack. You trading intraday?

I would say a lot depends on your style. Did most of your profit come from < 20% of your trades? Or do you go for a lot of base hits?

How much capital do you have to trade with?

Is that % returns your whole account or just the amount risked on trades?

Yes. Intraday. Win percentage - 67%.. But I have averaged lots here and there. You can see one big leap and the next day i lost almost all that day's profit. That was the only tilt I had.

Man...I hope you forgot to add some zeros to those numbers. You can't be serious about going full time with $1460.

Guess you didn't read my post clearly. I will be loading the account well enough to trade the minis and for full-time (long shot) it should be at least 50-100k.

You never mentioned a dollar amount in your original post. 50 to 100k is theoretically a sufficient amount if you have great skills. I am trading fully automated with about $110,000 and have no intentions on trying to live off of profits from my trading account. Each situation is different though. Best of luck!
