Trading during Playoff Games, Awards Shows, etc, Breakouts at Ad Time?

Traders that work the evening hours, like mr overnight, got a question here. If you watch a oneminute chart during say, ncaa b-ball march madness night games, world series, grammys, academy awards, and so on, do you see a tendency for price moves to occur alongside the advertisements?

Say the big event gets underway. The market is in doldrums flopping around establishing lackluster 'support / resist levels, then the ad hits and volume and price movements increase briefly then settle back down until the next ad.

Do your charts show that? If they do, then Wondering here if that *possible* correlation holds true to the same extent for the superbowl due to the high viewer/trader interest in the advertisements themselves. Thinking that it will, but to a lesser extent, all else being equal. If osama bin laden does a soft shoe during halftime though, that could well make the market move a little. Maybe.

    What says you all?

If you were addressing me, umm, well, I do not work evening hours. To assume that because my nick is "Overnight" is silly. I did actually take a trade tonight after the SBowl, but that is only because of the action I saw and was awake because of the adrenaline of watching the game.

Market moves do not occur because of entertainment events. Market moves happen because of real world shit, not fantastical awards about who played the best interpretation of Cyrano.

I mean, seriously, your pondering this topic is just total silly. Calm down, man!

The assumption that a large portion of market participants care about NCAA or NFL games is ridiculous. Markets are global and mostly automated. Regarding ads, are you suggesting GM goes up when the new Cadillac ad is cool? It's irrational.

how did the trade work out?

"but that is only because of the action I saw"
...but of course, why should it be otherwise....

"Market moves do not occur because of entertainment events."
...yeah, I'm saying they maybe must wait until the event takes a break, which is kinda the opposite of saying "because" of. Market moves do not happen DuRiNg events, but maybe while the advertisements are being shown, given a setup is there to be triggered.

"Say the big event gets underway. The market is in doldrums flopping around establishing lackluster 'support / resist levels, then the ad hits and volume and price movements increase briefly then settle back down until the next ad."
...if i see a setup during final four, i will wait for the advertisement before entering due to lackluster follow-through in general at most times during a highly hyped game or whatnot is culturally 'important' at that time.
Final four is not good trading weather, you may have noticed if trade outside of business hours.
