Trading by the Moon

  1. anybody else trade by the moon?
big down day on a Friday on the new moon
After a depressing last half cycle
Good day to buy the close. Most turns occcur on the new and full moon
A negative close on Monday would be very bearish for the next quarter cycle

man I'll be glad to get out of this, I get very depressed during a waning moon

There is allegedly some weird mental mass pyscosis regrading the moon, but i doubt it's more than bad pattern matching so leaving it in my myth draw.

And the moon is just too far away peaceful but the lag for trading would be to much for me :)

  3. It isn't the moon, it's the cycle
the moon is poular because many people know it
but you could just as easily check all your positions on your family members Birthdays (as long as you know what phase the moon is in at the time.)

And now that fewer and fewer people are being allowed to smoke inside, more and more people are out at night smoking and staring at the moon. Heck, the only people that even know what the weather is doing are smokers. Everybody else is inside watching it on TV.

at anyrate, big down day on a Friday on the new moon is a good opportunity to get in long on the close, but again, a continuation on Monday in a waxing moon would be bearish, so it's high risk/high reward, but don't forget the high risk part

I use to trade the I Ching, but you know, too much math...the moon is more natural, and I live in an area where it is very easy to observe.

    • Yes, but its just another indicator. Used to use it on Es, but like everything else in trading, context is key. I like a good panic, so if I see everyone leaning too far one way or another, the full moon could be it. I'm pretty emotional anyway, more like a chick. I plant flowers and nurture stray cats. I've tried to use my feelings as an asset in trading. I realized awhile ago not everyone is gonna get it. I used to bartend and would see people acting especially weird(ly) and aggressively

I think Trading by the Moon is a sequel to Trading by the Day and Trading by the Hour, but probably a Kindle-only, self-published version ...

  10. It's good to look at things from a Celestial perspective in trading...too many people trade using micro signals and variables.
Just like the Patek Philippe Celestial 5102J watch o_O
