Trading has become too stressful lately and causing high BP. Wondering how traders manage stress? Looking for suggestions on medications/supplements(legal, of course) which help to relax. Appreciate any help.
Lowering risk and size might help. Lifestyle change helps... Nicotine, coffee, tea, alcohol, fatty food, sugar, some supplements are better avoided. If it's psychological and not just related to trading, things that might help are some breathing techniques, yoga, not looking at social media, no electronic devices for the first hour of your day, long walks and exercise, meditation.
I had blood pressure ... i did following: 1-Donate 450ML blood every 56 days, you can. (easiest and best thing you can do, but you have to donate at least 3 times to feel really good). 2-Cut down on salt completely, if you can't buy a low sodium 30% salt, it taste exactly same you won't even notice. 3-Take small meal if you taking carbs like potato, and eat low calories like veg, sea food . If you eat heavy, your pressure jumps. It takes 20 minutes for your brain to receive signal that you have full, eat slow. 4- Reduce weight, for each 1Kg you lose, 1 point blood pressure decrease. don't eat before sleep or eat light enough so you don't starve in bed. 5- LASTLY, if you don't mind taking medicine ( i hate it, because mentally make me think i am old ) You can take "Cozaar" or other that doctor recommends for you to lower your Blood pressure.
Exercise, healthy eating / nutrition, proper sleep, meditation and schedule downtime away from the markets...the latter much easier if you have a family or spouse at home. Health eating also implies you've removed foods / drinks from your diet that contribute to high blood pressure. See your doctor so that the doctor can determine if you need blood pressure medication. If doctor states YES...still do the above. Monitor your blood pressure 3x per day (keep a daily stats to show your doctor)...morning, mid-day and before going to bed. wrbtrader
Maybe he's just doing crazy puts? Remember this guy? Yeah, it's prolly fake, but it's funny. And seems so pale in comparison to watching what Roaring Kitty went through with the swings on his account.
