Traders sue CME over special HFT access

    Since the SEC and the CFTC have been so ambivalent and apathetic about premium market access, and since exchanges may in fact be selling premium access as a profit center ( they are, after all, by and large listed companies paying net retained earnings income to public shareholders or private investors themselves ) - then maybe negative public perception and the light of day will in the end be only driver that changes the status quo.

    In fact, the status quo is probably not illegal per se. In the end, Congress will have to enact laws. And even the traditional Northeast liberal politicos are in the pockets of the trading exchanges.

    At least when the X`s were all private we knew it was the locals and Specs fucking us. Now its just a good reaming by the highest bidder.
