I did a quick search on the TradeLink website, but since I knowTradeLink monitors ET, so I thought it'd be quicker just to wait for an answer directly. Anyway, questions: 1) Does TradeLink support Renko charts? If so, does it support creation from non-"tick" historical data (i.e: second, minute, etc). I use IB, which obviously does not have true "Tick" data. Ninjatrader does have Renko charts, but they need to be created from ticks (or you need to muck around with the bar types and that's quite a pain when compared to their normal indicator/strategy development). 2) Does Tradelink have any built in provisions for email alerts? I know it's open source and you can add in that functionality, but I'm curious if there is anything out of the box. I typically do swing trades using Renko charts, and it is pretty cumbersome to alert myself to setups, so if I could cobble something together that would be sweet. Thanks in advance.
1. renko is not supported for charting. if you ask on the users list there is a renko spec you can use to generate these bars you would be able to use them both with tick and higher interval data. 2. yes there is an native Email component, as well as a ticketing component to open tickets on a web portal (which can in turn generate email alerts or summaries) google tradelink project or tradelink.org for more info
