Europe and Japan already making into pants :) b/c of rare-earth shortages from China, desperately needed for solar panels and lithium for EV batteries etc...

China's rare earths dominance in focus after mineral export curbs

(Reuters) - China said on Monday it will impose export restrictions on gallium and germanium products used in computer chips and other components to protect national security interests.

The decision, widely seen as retaliation for U.S. curbs on sales of technologies to China, raised concerns that China might eventually limit exports of other materials, notably rare earths, whose production China dominates.

In 2010, China restricted exports of rare earths to Japan following a territorial dispute, sending prices soaring and Japan scrambling to find alternative sources. Beijing said the curbs were based on environmental concerns.

Below are some facts about rare earths, about China's dominance of the sector, and what countries are doing to ease their dependence on China for the materials.

British Empire because it colonizes and colonizes
The US because it focuses very heavily on freedom of speech, of carrying guns...
Soon China. She focuses on the bottom line and also thinks many steps ahead
    Then ?????

The US immediately countered and threatened to shut all access to US based cloud computing.

In the end everyone will be shaking hands and life goes on as usual for the elites, while the middle class lemmings got duped once again.

this time may be different. we will arrest those commies if they come here, only another world war can solve the problem, or at least reset the table.

Never say never, but the odds are very thin. Reason being, the elites on both sides know they would lose the most. Ironically, at the same time a total reset would be the best that could happen for the working middle class.

Concerning EV batteries your "news"is already outdated. Lithium will play no role anymore in futur. There are already better and cheaper options with components that are cheap and available all over the world.

Most grid-scale batteries operating today are lithium-ion batteries. Relatively expensive, they also deteriorate within a few years and are made from difficult-to-recycle materials that can burst into flames or explode. Worse, if you want to double the storage capacity of your battery array, you have to buy twice as many batteries. That makes it too expensive to store energy for longer than a few hours. That problem does not exist with iron batteries.

iron battery is slow charging, not a choice for ev anytime soon, maybe some other uses.

Sodium solid state is the newest, but will take till 2025/26 for mass production to kick off. Benefit is extremely fast charging and limitless supply of raw materials.
