These are the largest % return call/put options for Friday's trading which expire next week.
This can provide a bit of encouragement for those buying options and help understand risk for those cheap OTM premium sellers.

    Top Call:
$INCY Mar17 150Call up 1,670% on Friday ranks top. Closed at 5 up from .30 cents trade in morning. IV=52%.Stock closed at 149. AH up. Volume 489 vs OI 112.

    Top Put:
$TD bank Mar17 50Put up 833% on Friday ranks top put. Closed at 1.25 up from .15 cents trade in morning. IV=16% Stock closed at 49. AH up. Volume 3,181 vs OI 296.

Criteria is up to 10 days with minimum volume of 50 and last price of minimum of $1.
There had to be trading at the low price - not just the high price so potential to get the trade done. The % Return is from the low trade to the closing price and not the previous day's close.

The top options of last week on $INCY and $TD expired on Friday at 0 - .50 cents for a loss on the week of up to $5 dollars. Can we fade the top performers each week and make money??

These are the largest % return call/put options for this Friday's trading which expire March 24th next week.

    Top Call:
$SBUX Mar24 54.5 Call up 135% on Friday ranks top. Closed at 1.44 up from 1.07 cents trade in morning. IV=16%.Stock closed at 55.80. AH up. Volume 176 vs OI 477.

Maybe we should also look at the worse performing options each week and see if those can be faded as well?

    Bottom Call:
$GS Mar24 247.5 Call down 40% on Friday ranks the lowest. Closed at 1.15 down from 1.90 trade in morning. IV=18%.Stock closed at 243.95. AH up. Volume 1,218 vs OI 507.

There is speculation that Macau has bottomed and the Casino stocks are ready for a cyclical bounce. The Financials are one of the top performing sectors - time for a break? They have great profits and still trade cheap relative to book value. There are plenty of crappy companies out there to short like shipping companies, why pick a top in this profitable sector with deregulatory tail winds? Why not short other sectors that have rallied big but have no earnings like Steel or Semiconductors?

Criteria is up to 10 days with minimum volume of 50 and last price of minimum of $1.

Hi just wanted to ask a question about the the criteria above. Are you talking about expiration of max 10 days?

Also, by fading you mean selling the top performers and buying the worst performers correct?

Yes. 10 days to expiry of option. Yes. Sell gainers. Sorry not updated. Been snow skiing.
