    I'd go with opening her a Schwab account. No fee's and great customer service.

    I swear... if Bezos would do a 50:1 split.... he'd probably get an instant 5% boost in AMZN's marketcap for no other reason than... just because. Its so obvious.

    Most all of them have have zero minimums/zero commissions/ETFs
    Plenty of cheap ETFs, but it seldom pays tobuy under$5.
    Most all of any major BROKERS WILL WORK;but don't use ETrade, …………………………………………………………………………………………………...

    I hope you impress upon her the value of time. It's not so much what she buys, but to do it over a very long period.
    Starting at such an early age could double her lifetime investment returns.

  8. Absolutley! Save save save. First 10k in an index fund mirroring S&P. Second 10k in handpicked blue chip dividend paying stocks. Third 10k in more aggressive strategies. Over time this is how you build wealth.
