Tiger Woods at the Masters..

  1. Doubt he even makes the cut, let alone contends for the win....

Too bad, as I'm a Tiger fan... hoping he breaks all the records. Odds against him now.

Used to be, "drive for show, putt for dough". Not true anymore. If a pro golfer can't consistently hit the short grass, he's got little chance of scoring the win.

Tiger, at his best, has been "marginal" at driving... let alone his putting and short game deficiencies.

While Tiger has had Jack "in his sights" all along, looks like Tiger is destined to enter the history books as "all-time #2". Not "chopped liver", by any means... but short of his life-long goals.

    :(

Can't see him contending but may well make the cut. The Masters has the weakest field of all the majors (loaded down with amateurs, foreign exemptions, old-timer past winners) so making the cut — especially for someone who has never missed the cut — is not as difficult as most imagine. I'm just glad he decided to show up as it takes a lot of media heat off Rory.

  3. Tiger should go back to see the Canadian doctor who was pumping him up with PED's throughout the 2000's.
The legendary "never loses with the lead on Sunday" was because the guy was fresh as a daisy from the juice while everyone else was dragging after three long days in the heat and stress.

    For once we disagree Scat.
    I think he's a cheater and I'm glad he doesn't win anymore.

  4. Could be. I hadn't heard of anything about his use of PEDs.

If you're right, hard to root for a cheater.... like Bonds, McGuire, A-Rod.

Doubt you have anything to worry about. When a pro loses control of the driver, he isn't going to win much any more... maybe even NO more. (ie David Duval.) Tiger formerly was able to overcome his "loose driver" with brilliant scrambling and putting.... seems to have lost those, too.

    We'll see.

(Tiger's assault on golf's record books was cut short by his frequent "swing changes", injuries, and oh that dealy when his wife beat the shit out of him with a 9-iron.)

  7. Really? There's been a number of circumstantial inferences over the past several years.

  8. Fans ignore all the negs like they never occurred, don't you know.

  9. This Jordan Spieth kid looks unstoppable, but to Tiger. Every player that cashes a huge check should thank Tiger. He changed the game and brought millions of fans, sponsors and lots of money to the game. You can argue about his personal life and his attitude, but there is absolutely no doubt his presence brought the money and still brings everything that goes with it whenever he shows up.

I was a Tiger fan... but those trips to the PED doctor in Canada and the coincidence that he has not been a Sunday Tiger since beta blockers were banned 2 weeks after his last major in 2008... is jarring.
