  1. I would like to hear about traders' experience with Singapore based Tiger Brokers. Thanks!

It is a way for Chinese citizens to invest in US stocks. interactive brokers are an investor. If you are not in China use www.interactivebrokers.com

  3. Interesting! Thanks for the info. I looked at the
Tiger platform and it is different from TWS. I am
actually in Singapore and it would be convenient
to trade through a local broker than through one
in the US. In Singapore IBKR is barred from SGX,
while Tiger can trade the local markets as well as
    the overseas markets.

IBKR has access to SGX now though. They opened their Singapore subsidiary.

  5. However if I understand correctly only non-Singapore
accounts can trade on SGX through Interactive Brokers,
while Singapore resident accounts can trade the rest of
the world through IBKR but not SGX. Apparently this is
one of the reasons Tiger was set up to allow Singapore
residents and businesses to trade both SGX and overseas
markets through a single broker. I may be wrong of course.

  6. That's not correct. IB Singapore are fully MAS licensed and offer Singapore stocks to Singaporeans. Read the local news, plenty of articles.

  7. Thanks! Things must have changed
since I last checked a few years ago.

Yes, IBSG was formed and became operational last year and thus we offer SG stocks to SG residents now.
