Which tickers have the most options in respect to expiration dates and number of strikes in total?
Is SPX the biggest? (It has options till 2029-12-21 :))

  2. FWIW: Yesterday, SPX had 22,686 options listed.

Hmm. are you sure? Can you verify again? This looks too much, IMO.
    What's the usual average?

  4. It changes every day with the "daily" expirations. Here is a list of the opras from yesterday. -- I counted 60 expirations in this list.

Thx. Who created that html page with the list? Is it yours or was it created by OPRA (since you mention them)?
Do you know whether it covers also Non Standard (NS) options maybe?
    B/c I always skip them.

I just counted mine of today:
    SPX Calls(cED=54 cK=4721) Puts(cED=54 cK=4721)

  6. You are missing most of them. Looking today: There are 15,490 SPX Weeklies, and 22,550 total.
I created the HTML from my sql query. I don't discard opras.
Today there are 69 expirations I count from this pull.
Will post expirations (ignore the value to right of decimal, as that is based on time sample was taken).

@stepandfetchit, I suspect that you double-count SPX and SPXW. I think they are the same.
    Can you check please?

  8. expirations collected (note: is possible some may be missing if B/A were not stable).

    Quanto likes this.
  9. SPXW is a weekly, with PM expiration. SPX is the standard monthly with AM expirations. They are not the same.

But when both have the same expiration date, are they then still different?
I think in the final week SPX turns into SPXW, or the other way around.

Ok, AM/PM... I have to check what I get from my source, obviously just one of them, I guess PM.
