Hello I was working on synthesizing a TICK indicator for a foreign market when I came across this question. Say SAMSUNG trades at 100.00. Then the next trade is at 100.01, uptick. Next trade at 100.02, another uptick. 1. But say the next trade is again at 100.02, is SAMSUNG still in uptick 'mode' or does it somehow now count as neutral (neither uptick or down tick)? 2. Finally, the TICK is then the sum of all uptick mode stocks less downtick mode stocks, is this right? #2 I am sure is right but #1 I could not find any sources at all.
