Most places in America are sort of halfway there to that policy. If the attacker is muslim, an illegal immigrant, or black the race is not reported. If you are white -particularly a white police officer- then the media is at your house reporting and releasing your high school transcript before you are even booked. In fergeson missiouri, a white officer shot a black guy who had already taken his gun once to try to kill him. The controversy resulted in riots and other attention that captivated the whole country. Recently however, a muslim officer in Minneapolis summarily executed a white woman in her pajamas who had called to report a possible sexual assault near her house. Within 24 hours the official position was "we can't comment on any case that is under investigation and we have to wait for the facts come in." Can anyone here give me an update of where we are on that case? I mean from watching the news, not from googling around? Didn't think so.
