Trump is "optimistic" about the prospects of this meeting with China trade deal. Does the outcome even matter though? The fed already agreed the pamper the market no matter what happens...

  2. Overnight

    Overnight

If there is a cease-fire, or outright deal, markets go up, and then plummet when the Fed stands pat at end of July.

If there is an implementation of remaining tariffs on China, markets plummet, then rocket up when Fed announces the cut.

    That's my take on it.

If #1 happens, I still don't think the Fed will do anything. Regardless, Trump needs to market to be propped up for 2020... The only way to ensure that is the Fed.

Trump thinks he needs market to be propped up
in fact half of population doesn't have $500 spare cash
I doubt they vote based on stock market
    1% is not enough

You don't watch much news do you? When they talk about Trump, all they talk about is how good the economy under him is. If marker tank, he'll have nothing to brag about. And bragging is important for this president.

The fed will prop up the market, which will spill down to everyday people. Jobs, low interest rates, lower taxes? So your average joe cares for that.

Establishment hates Trump and Fed is part of the establishment. I seriously doubt Fed will prop up the market to improve Trumps chances.

By the way Fed propping up the market for 10 years already. Still half of the population doesn't have $500 spare cash.

Market propping doesn't spill to everyday people. That''s the problem and that's why exactly Trump was elected

Now bragging about market performance just alienates low income 80% who don't have any stocks and don't participate

Are you one of those "never trumpers" or just trolling? Lol where are you getting that $500 statistic?

To put it simply, the unemployment rate is the lowest it's been for decades. So almost everyone is employed right now and nobody has $500 to spare? Go vote for Bernie, i'm sure he'll need your vote.

  8. I think this was a result of a study from the FED. Not necessarily up to date but unlikely to have shifted significantly since the study came out
