Last Earnings report they climbed steadily 1 point a day for 2 weeks then dropped. This past week it has been doing that same 1 point a day climb. How do you think this effects the stock post earnings? (i.e are investors expecting something big and will dump when Disney doesn't deliver on huge expectations)
I think they will talk a lot about the toys, espn (which I would think is making money now that NFL is on full swing). I will dump disney if they reach $120 which is doable if the news are good on wednesday
but if the news is good on Wednesday why sell. The week later pull back wouldn't be worth the cost of the trade fee. unless your not long Disney and 120 is a good exit point
If you get DIS eps on WED drop me a pm so I too can maneuver before the rest of world gets it on Thurs. NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- The Walt Disney Co.(DIS - Get Report) stock is rising by 0.76% to $115.92 in midday trading on Tuesday, after announcing a new show withVice Media on A+E Networks, and reports of a $200 million investment in the company.
Gamble noob, all opinions will be guesses, unless you have inside information, no one has a clue. Earnings are traded after reports.
After call of duty sales this will go up. Its more expensive than last year. Game with season pass costs over $100. That's high profit
Professional investors have a wider scope of awareness that includes all aspects of a company's business model. Pull up daily charts of TWX and DIS, note the correlation. Understand why this is and that we shouldn't have both in the same portfolio since it would amount to one play. http://news.investors.com/110415-77...-stocks.htm?ven=yahoocp&src=aurlled&ven=yahoo Did TWX guidance just screw the pooch on DIS longs? Maybe, maybe not. One would have to be aware of the different sort of family fare DIS offers vs TWX's HBO, what portion of revenue comes from DIS channel etc, etc. This is a game of information on many levels.
watching live sports was the one last thing keeping me from cutting the cable cord but now after this years NFL season I no longer see any real reason to keep paying high prices for live sports so I have cut the cord. problem is, I am relying heavily on Netflix and all they offer is the re-run shows and movies I have already seen a million times. Maybe just watch much less TV in general I guess?
