Thomson Reuters partners with the 'Slack for Wall Street'
Thomson Reuters, one of the largest providers of financial data, announcedon Tuesdaya partnership with a Silicon Valley messaging startup. Users of Eikon, Thomson Reuters' software platform of financial data, news, and analysis, willnow have the optionto send messages via Symphony, a message application for financial services professionals, akin to Slack, a cloud-based message app.(Business Insider)

That's already old news. Also that Symphony is quietly taking over trading chats from reuters messenger to Bloomberg's IB. Bbg competitors should heed the advice, however, that Bloomberg has long moved on and that it's IB chat is by far not the central piece to its selling proposition anymore than it once was. Competition is always welcome.
