This is the new Contract for America This will be the official list of Republicans who help amnesty or obamacare. Any republican who votes for Boehner's cronyubus bill will be on this list.. and we will agitate for 2 years. No conservative, libertarian or independent who cares about the country will vote for any R on this list... This will destroy Gop chances for President... but we will have to do it to have the party representing us in 4 years. Besides... if they vote for cronybus... they are out to screw the country anyway.
I have thought about this. If Boehner works with the Dems to screw his party... he should be removed as leader. Any Republican that votes for Boehner or a member of his leadership team will have to also be voted out of office. (if we get access to that info)
Boehner, Ryan, the Bush family, McCain and other establishment republicans are "conservative" only in the minds of the liberal media. They don't mind selling out the base because they think they can marginalize the true conservatives and somehow get the votes of a broad coalition of soccer moms, independents, hispanics, etc. They are as uncomfortable with the Tea Party as democrats. They are all for amnesty, as it pleases their corporate masters and makes for bigger government, which they like. It's like running a bank. The only metric that correlates with bank size is executive compensation. Bigger government means more oppportunity for these guys too. Unfortunately, Boehner and McConnell have convinced themselves that (1) the government shutdown was another neardeath experience for republicans, despite abundant evidence to the contrary, and (2) they won the last election because of their rope-a-dope strategy.

I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by this. We knew Boehner and his crowd wanted to vote on the senate manesty bill. Republicans campaigned on repealing obamacare and blocking amnesty. At the risk of Grubering, voters apparently were either too dim to know they were lying or thought that at least they wouldn't be as bad as the democrats. If another election were held tomorrow, I bet a lot of republican voters would sit it out, just like they did when Romney ran. The game plan here is to get this done and move on, counting on voters to forget about it abou it by the next election. The republican establishment badly wants to see Jeb Bush as the nominee and they need to get past amnesty for that to happen. They aren't going to risk a government shutdown, so basically even though they have majorities, they have no real leverage against obama.
I think the majority of voters knew they were being lied to. I think this was the mother of all lesser-of-two-evil votes. Participation was historically low, wasn't it? If people who voted for the likes of McConnell and others actually believed the campaign adds, than Gruber was at least partially correct in his assessment. On the other hand, I also believe people accept, or even enjoy being lied to if it makes them feel good about their actions.
The problem for republicans is the two biggest issues in the recent elections were obamacare and amnesty. Virtually all the senate candidates that ousted democrats promised to get rid of obamacare and block amnesty. Now they are surrendering on both issues without even a fight. How can they not expect voters to be livid? Boehner reminds me of a football coach who kicks a field goal on 4th and goal from the half yard line in the first quarter. Their cowardice and treachery could backfire. Pissed off republican voters wil be inclined to go for the most extreme presidential candidate, someone who throws them the red meat Boehner and mcConnell are afraid to touch.

Boehner and McConnell McCain Ryan are all on the same team as Pelosi Reid and Obama They take turns sheering us and removing our constitutional rights because the cronies also own the 4th estate and the most of the media.
