Money never sleeps pal.Just made 800 thou on Hong Kong gold it's been wired to you. Play with it. You done good, but you gotta keep doing good. Astonish me
I never understood why people liked this movie. So many junior analysts cite this as one of their favorite movies but it's incredibly anti-Wall Street.
Like young fighter pilots they only see the upside possibilities, the promise of fame and glory. They aren't wise enough yet to consider the opposition. If we had the information available the truth is that probably something on the order of 1% ever get busted and severely punished.
It's more than about being busted for committing a crime. It's about the fast money, fast women, and the fast life that is promoted in a Wall Street career vs the father and the old guy who like IBM stock.
And the timing of the release of that film couldn't have been more perfect...Produced in late 86/early 87 and released just in time for "Black Monday" Oct '87... (edit: released in late '87)
