Roman Abramovich, one of the richest Russian oligarchs, announced that he is selling Chelsea United, his UK football team. He expects to get $4B for it (thought I doubt that will be the final price). That was to be expected.

But he also announced that all proceeds from the sale will go into a charity fund for the victims of the war in Ukraine.

Orwellian. In Russia, the slogan "No to War" will get you 15 years imprisonment for:

"дискредитация ВС и призыв к воспрепятствованию их использования" - "discrediting the Russian military and a call to prevent its use" (translation mine)

Pay himself a huge salary. And still look great to the world. The team actually is already in the hands of a UK Chelsea trust which as a few other offices around the world. One in each of the countries he holds passports in.
