Hello all, do you have any idea how could I open in a better way those CSV reports from Thinkorswim in Excel?

When I open them is just a mess with all tags like
and all in the column A... I can't get my stadistics that way... Any idea please?

    Thanks

Open up the CSV file in a text editer such as Notepad and check the file for non-csv data such as info about the file, probably at the end or beginning of the file. Delete all that extra info.

Thanks for the answer, but no extra info on the file. Is all like this:

I tried removing the HTML tags but it's the same. Any clues?

EDIT: Lol, why the hell there is a table here and not in my excel?? Well, the case is like all with tags of "< td >" and so... And my Excel open just the text, not the tables

Last time I try, excuse me but this is important.

    Somebody please?

  6. Could you post a sample? You might get some feedback on how to clean it up if we could see the file.

  7. What you posted above is not a CSV file. There are no tables in CSVs. After you open excel you can import a CSV file. It will give you options as to where you want a new cell to start. With CSVs you usually only have to choose to use the comma to separate out the data. Without a sample file it would hard to help beyond a general description.

Gosh, this is kinda embarasing... When you said that was not a CSV file I started to check it out and... Well, I was saving the reports as .html instead of .csv.

Thanks for your help guys, I was desesperated.
