First time I noticed a disciplinary punishment on a micro... https://www.cmegroup.com/notices/disciplinary/2020/12/COMEX-17-0830-BC-BURR-JENNINGS.html And that was just over 3 years ago on MGC. Imagine how much of that has been going on in the equity micros since May 2019?
Especially that you can buy his software that does just that: http://www.burrjennings.com/veritas.htm
Fascinating. I wonder how many of our sponsors here would like to still be listed as "affiliated" with this guy who tried to cheat the CME... http://www.burrjennings.com/links.htm Here's the image before he takes down his page.
What small and large fraudulent transactions happen all the time, and it's certainly a big problem in this area. But on the other hand, now there are a lot of different security systems, which should control these processes at all stages, and if something is not working and such moments still arise - then you need to change something and pick up some other things to adjust it. And by the way, this example can be called a weak but still an example of how to destroy even a good company. All the same, it's the human factor that always has the most negative impact, and it's people who can make everything much more difficult and problematic. So this is definitely a reason for other companies to monitor this as well.
