“Far-left political ideologues want to reshape sports culture to their liking,” Whitlock said. “Sports culture has long had a major impact on American culture. The values taught and celebrated in sports are conservative. The far left wants to change that. They want sports to have a liberal impact.” http://www.breitbart.com/sports/201...slams-sports-media-for-its-drive-to-the-left/ Former ESPN host and Fox Sports 1 commentator Jason Whitlock slammed the sports media for its drift toward left-wing politics, criticized former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for his faux anti-American protests, and even stuck up for Breitbart Sports.
I believe one the best things you can do for a kid is encourage them to play one team sport and one individual sport with objective scoring. I remember reading.. probably in a market wizards book that that one of the big trading firms liked to hire competitive tennis players. Tennis is like boxing without getting punched in the head. Its you against the other guy... when you lose in 3 to 5 sets... there are just no real excuses. You have to examine what happened and decide what you have to do to get better... or give up. Losing sucks so you have to figure out how to get better. excuses don't stop the losing... you have to change. So much like trading.
I do... I also remember them spending a great deal more time with the cheerleaders. Back when I was single and younger I used to really respect cheerleaders.
