  3. More collusion.

Mnuchin has just said he is considering taking the aluminum company Rusal off the election interference sanctions list. Rusal is majority owned by Russian billionaire and friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Oleg Deripaska.

Trump is compromised, a literal traitor to the US and needs to be stopped.

Trump wakes up, goes to the garden and starts picking up random rocks.

He picks a rock, carefuly examines it from from all sides, puts it back and then goes to find another one. After this has been going on for a couple of days, his cabinet starts to get nervous, so Pence calls Putin to see if he can help them.

"Hey Vlad! It's Mike. Listen, we have a little problem..."

He describes the situation and Putin promises to look into it. After a few minutes Putin calls back.

"He should be fine now. It was our fault, sorry. We accidetnally sent him instructions meant for our lunar lander."

“Republican lawmakers backed away from a plan to reinstate stiff penalties on Chinese telecom firm ZTE, handing a win to President Trump, who had personally intervened to save the Beijing company,” the New York Times reports.

Congressional leaders removed a provision, tucked into a military policy bill, that would have stopped the Trump administration from lifting penalties on ZTE. Rather than prevent the company from buying American technology, the bill will simply limit federal purchases of ZTE products, such as handsets.

  8. I worked on an IT project for a financially sensitive UK government department.

There was NO EFFING WAY ZTE or other Chinese network kit was allowed into the infrastructure. This was eight years ago.

  10. Yep, my first notably well paying long contract gig +£600 a day was with a UK bank. I had to script build servers based on Windows NT 4 SE. SE in this case was "Secure Edition" which had originally developed for military purposes, someone mentioned it came from the UK navy subs.

Everything was disabled on install, one had to somewhat laboriously enable services and even copy in DLLs etc. to ensure only the minimum actually necessary was running and that in turn was audited.

I shudder to think with my security head on what goes on these days.
