The biggest fraud in history is the transgender fraud. Everyone is born a certain sex and you cannot change it by wearing a dress . We all know this …
We have much more important issues than this nonsense. If some perverted dude wants to wear a dress behind closed doors- go ahead. Just don’t let me see it.

What if you were born a hermaphrodite and you identify more with the sex that you weren't assigned?

    It goes do-do do do…

FYI: transgender people have always existed. Seeking to oppress them is cruel. Let them be who they are.

I'm like way behind on this issue. What's the difference between a transgender and a cross-dresser? And is there a difference between transgender and transsexual?

That's what I'm used to hearing back in the day.

Transvestite = crossdresser = drag queen

What the hell is the difference, other than meaningless semantics? These days, they throw in too much effing fluff.

In this case the difference is full or part-time presentment.

A transgender (TS) is more committed to, or invested in, the cause, so-to-speak. That is, those how are making an effort to change one's birth gender.
However, a small percentage is born both genders. The legacy term has been "hermaphrodite". Not sure what the new term is. They may make an effort to lean more toward one of their genders than another. These perhaps expend the least effort in doing so, since they have a head start at birth (being both).

I agree one cannot change one's birth gender if not born as both, because chromosomes don't/can't change. Presumably, chromosomes drive hormones before birth (in utero), which sculpt, usually, one gender or another, generally defined by one set of genitalia or another out of two possibilities. However, continuous use of one hormone or another can induce enough sculpting, one way or another, to over-ride appearances usually associated with one of the genitalia schemata or the other.

Depending on how committed one is to changing appearances, the effects of additional sculpting, through hormones, can reach an appearance called "passing". Passing means if you passed a committed and successful hormone sculptor on the street, you would not be able to tell the difference between them and someone born with genitalia matching the appearance.

Only occasionally could you be fooled by cross-dressers who rely mainly on clothing, make-up, attitude, speech characteristics and natural exposure to hormones to "pass". That is, for example, some males experience low natural testosterone flows from a young age, combined with high estrogen, resulting in what may be called an almost "feminine" appearance where the terms "fem", "fem boy" or "faggot" may apply. In those cases, a modest amount of cross dressing, hair style, speech style and attitude could result in a "pass" from most straight CIS observers.

But generally, the difference is who is using hormones, and who isn't. Those using hormones are most committed to an appearance that does not match with birth gender. A transgender is most invested in changing one's birth gender, or, if born both, changing to the gender-hormone harmony that most feels right.

So that is regarding one's own body.

Transsexual, as i understand it, has more to do with what one prefers when selecting a sex partner. However, this term has been used almost interchangeably with transgender, and probably best describes a post-birth sculpting process that most matches which gender one wishes to be. In other words, while gender is generally not fluid after birth, which gender one feels to be is a little more fluid, which explains why people try to change either with hormones or with clothing.

So what word would describe a change of preferences when choosing a sex partner? Trans-preferential? Trans-fetish? One thing is for certain, this is fairly fluid, and is all over the map. You simply cannot tell, looking at anyone, what kind of person they would prefer as a sex partner. Mostly? Those preferences are most often associated with one's gender, most often preferring the opposite gender. But that can change along a spectrum from one extreme archetype to the other.

Political activism is a completely different thing. Not all trans-this or trans-that are political activists. I think we are most annoyed by unreasonable and weirdly vocal activism. This ends up smearing the trans community as a whole, but only among bigots who cannot differentiate the nuances.

At the same time, one should not get too serious about being born this way or that way. If it's true we all experience numerous incarnations and re-incarnations, then there is no reason to get bogged down with one particular identity or another, neither racial identity, nor gender identity, nor faith identity. These are all changing, either perceptively slow, or perceptively fast. The big changes, like chromosomes, are made behind the scenes, between performances. Other changes are made on-stage, in front of an audience. Either way, the net effect is drama.
