The Traders' Magazine

  1. I thought this sort of stuff was out of print long ago. I haven't even seen this in a bookstore that I ever recall, but this weekend I stopped by an Indigo store. I believe this used to be owned by Chapters, which is pretty much headed into chapter-11 very soon.

I thought I'd take a look around one last time before Chapter shuts down its last stores (they used to be the rival to Amazon here).

Well to my surprise, I found a bunch of printed trading magazines from various crypto Zines to securities/commodities. I wasn't expecting that, especially since everything has gone to digital platform these days. Maybe it's due to the rising interest of the day-trader that these are becoming popular in physical print.

I started reading my first ever issue of this tonight. It's interesting so far. Thoughts anyone?

Last Century, I used to have a subscription. After 9 months the topics started being recycled. So I stopped. Good while waiting on a plane to catch. Sort of like listening to "market place", a good fluff read-listen

  3. I have had a print subscription to TASC for over 10 years and look forward to reading it each month.

There are a few articles that are extremely interesting to TA nerds like myself in every issue. Bright fellows such as Perry Kaufman and John Ehlers have published a bunch of studies with new ideas there during the past few years and they're always worth reading.

Several issues each year have interviews with famous traders and industry people that are often good reads (though these can be a bit hit or miss).

Subscribers get access to a searchable database of all previous issues and articles as downloadable .pdf files.

Highly recommended. I just hope these guys can stay in business...

They are located in Seattle - I live not to far from them - but across Lake Washington. Around 20 years ago - give or take a couple - don't recall - they did an article on a company I was at - in a Trading Room in Seattle. I was in a picture they took - although - it showed my best side - my Back - LOL. They didn't want to ruin their camera - with a front shot. I had a Booth - at a Traders Expo at Bally's Casino in Las Vegas - I believe it was 2003 - and I believe they were there. The Traders Expo used to be a big event - not so sure now.

They do have a lot of great articles.

I'm a long time subscriber to their print magazine. There's not much new in the world of technical analysis but sometimes I will see an interesting twist that will spark a new research idea.

Hard to describe it in words but there is something magical about print magazines compared to online. But I am an old timer. I cannot imagine the next generation ever picking up print.

This was especially huge during the heyday of daytrading. I used to get it in its digital form until it stopped its publication even online. This brings back so much nostalgia. It had good content relevant to trading. Good stuff!
