Its interesting... Newsom is very polarizing right now. Lots of people want him out because of the schools be shutdown and what he has done to restaurants and small businesses without data... but... there are many selfish covid fearful people who only think about themselves and their parents and therefore think he is doing a great job. At the moment I don't think Newsom has much to worry about... However, I think the tide may be changing because of the school shutdowns... This is anecdotal but I think there is now an clear strong majority of parents who think the schools need to be open. This is a big change for the summer.... in my experience. Many parents are concerned about kids mental health and social development. They see this is going on far too long considering almost every parent now knows Covid is less than the flu for kids. I think everyday... Newsom lets the Teachers Unions dictate terms... he damage his chances for re-election and increasing his chances of a successful recall.
