When I was a little kid, probably in the late '60s or maybe in the very early '70s, I sent away for one of Joe Weider's magazines from a coupon at the back of a comic book. (I thought it was for a whole course, but I guess 10 or 25 cents didn't buy what it used to.) And I remember seeing Harold Poole in some of the pictures. His physique was eye-catching. And of course, Larry Scott was in there as well, among other notables of the era. I didn't learn until recently that Poole competed with Scott for the very first (and second) Olympia title. At the time, I wasn't even aware of that title. Much as I liked Scott, looking back, I think Poole was robbed. Twice.
