Trumps base is conservative whites in the south.Someone should tell these people how conservative whites in the south felt about MLK.

 

Some conservative whites were southern Democrats in the 1960's.

The people the parties represented have changed,the people have not.

 

Very few Southern democrats switched parties. It wasn't until 20-30 years later that Republicans started winning and taking over within the Southern states. It took that long for the racist Democrats to die off

 

Their offspring continues were they left off.Same people now they call themselves republican/conservative.

 

Usually the offspring are counter to parents beliefs

If that were true there would not be such support for the confederacy in the south today.White racists in the confederate south is generational,from this countries beginning to today. Support for slavery,The Confederacy,KKK,Jim Crow,anti civil rights,Trump etc all came from conservative whites in the south.
