Ya gotta call a spade a spade... Trudeau gave a pretty powerful speech. Imo at least. Perhaps his finest hour. Good way to go out.

Of course, it is bullshiat. You merely need to read the replies to her claim on X/Twitter to understand this.

    For example -

    Trumps response on TS:

Please explain to Governor Trudeau, of Canada, that when he puts on a Retaliatory Tariff on the U.S., our Reciprocal Tariff will immediately increase by a like amount!

    So now 50%?

  7. Who knows? Who cares? He doesn’t even know what he means. Trump thinks he’s scoring points. But he’s just digging a hole. For everyone.

    Trump's idea of economics..

Wonder if he plans to greenmail Canada?

In the 1980s, Trump used a dirty financial tactic known as greenmail, where he bought shares in competing Atlantic City casino companies and then pressured them to buy him out at a premium, often by threatening hostile takeovers or legal trouble.

Well until Atlantic City banned the practice to stop him wrecking the local economy. Too late. But it did plug his cash flow after daddy could not bail him out and they got rid of the parasite.

Beware Canada. Trump’s MO is always the same, apply financial pain, force people into bad deals, and sell a ‘win’ to his base.

Yes, too many Americans are allowed in, thank you, we agree.

(The fact that I am also American, pay no attention to that!)
