I came across a recent survey by the Options Industry Council regarding demographics of options traders in the US:

What is striking - the mean age of options traders: ~60 years, mean annual household income: ~$200K with mean liquid assets: ~$1.1M.

Are mean ET members as old and as well off?

I think Option Users is a strange term, they should use Option Traders.

  3. Mostly covered-writers, I'd assume.

I think they should add Option Abusers as a category too. Probably would fall under the substantially lower assets group.
