The Mark of the Beast, and the countermeasure

Discussion in 'Religion and Spirituality' started by Wide Tailz, Aug 19, 2024.

  1. Of all places in the bible where six hundred threescore and six is mentioned, it is at the end of course, when warning about the mark of the beast. However, Solomon received six hundred and sixty six talents of gold yearly from all the kings of the world, during his rein.

Another king, much later (after the kingdom split in two, following the extreme taxation of Solomon's successor), who was righteous before God received seventy seven hundred rams and seventy seven hundred male goats as gifts from the kings of the lands nearby.

Is there a connection? Some hidden meaning?

In the first case it was money paid as tribute. I believe Solomon was a type of king that will be emulated by the image of the beast at the end. Super wise, rich, handsome, massive public works and grandiose buildings, knowledge beyond belief, etc.

The second example it was given as a gift of food, since male animals are not good for much more than meat.

Lord Jesus even made the distinction between money and "increase" given by God, when questioned by the lawyers of his day.

Bible friends, I'm no expert, but the message is clear: if you want to be free from the mark of the beast, if it ever arrives, you need a food source given by God.

I can tell you from experience it's much easier keeping a herd or flock on grass than trying to till that ground and grow potatoes (though they are much easier to grow than corn, wheat, veggies, etc).

There is no Lord Jesus, it's a figment of imagination.
It's a story, an anology, an example, a parable.
Christians take everything literally, but their biases so great, they'll believe ANY STORY which aligns with their religious beliefs without doing a proper bit of research.

The Christians will think like the Jews do, any criticism, any rational argument against is 'antisemetic', 'antichristian', evil, of the ficticious devil.

There is just no way to get this thought process out of cultists minds, once its set, its locked.

Think like this, billions of people on earth, billions of different ideas, but only one way to heaven which is "my way or the hell way".
That's cultism in its purest form "You are required to be a clone of me before I accept you".

This "Jesus is Lord" is pure nonsense, with a VERY HIGH concentration of this nonsense found in America.
You guys need to get out a bit.

Just need to look at how Gaza has been handled to see the disaster of Christian politics, christian thinking, christian influence, christian meddling, christian hypocrisy, christian lies and dishonesty, christian incompetence, christian foolery, christian sabotage.
All in the same of jesus, do gooders.
But cultist will never admit wrong.

Here is the Jewish - Christian loving God.....

God created us but is forever in a foul mood when humans step out of line.
The devil lives on for thousands of years but humans get 100 at most with the majority booted into hell by a pissed off God who demands worshipping.

Go fuck yourself with your ridiculous guilt laden thinking!

No wonder the world is full of people who won't accept religious thinking with the thought one needs to accept this stupid rubbish running their heads.

The Moody Blues had a similar conundrum.

  10. All valid points, thanks for giving your viewpoint.

I can't lie, I've questioned my faith many times, especially after bad things happen. I begin to wonder if the only reason I ever jumped on this bandwagon is because I thought I would get some kind of reward. It could all be a self-induced illusion. The good events that seemed to happen after reading the bible myself, alone, apart from any Christian group, may have just been childish hopes to keep me from getting depressed.

In any event, I don't understand the venemous hatred for Jesus Christ. He's the most peaceful of the dieties and was harmless, except for calling out the religious hypocrites of His day.

Your points about Blinkin, modern Israel the killing machine, American Christians supporting them and going along with the clot shot because their pastor told them to take it - I agree with all your points here. I don't believe those people are the real believers like shown in the book of Acts. They are followers of the competing businesses that formed after seeing how successful the Catholic (universal) church was. The bible predicts this, in a way, and also predicts a place of refuge for the real church for 350 years. I believe this is the United States, but our time is up. We may see horrible consequences very soon for causing and supporting the shedding of so much innocent blood. I left a defense job partly for this reason.
