Coding teaches logical thinking. It is a major threat to those who control people. You can't have people thinking for themselves if you want to control them.

China teaches all of their students to code. This is going to come back to bite them is the a$$ within one generation. Any Government or party that relies on ignorance should ban subjects like coding, science and then need to control the internet.

You got to love China! For a country that was in the gutter not that long ago they are coming back real fast. I wonder if those in power realize the technology and all of their ambition is going to be what causes them top loose control of their people?

No - China spies on its own citizens to make sure nothing can arise that will upset the status quo of those in power. Before anything can gather steam, they send the night-police to haul you off for "re-education".
